Serpentine Rapid (7), at river mile 106.5, is very similar to Ruby Rapid. This rapid is formed by debris out-washing from Serpentine Canyon on river left. This read-and-run rapid has a large haystack wave train, which forms on river right. There is a large pourover on river right near the top of the rapid. This is to be avoided. There is a large channel left of this hard-to-see pourover and there is a very tight channel right of this pourover too.
