Horn Creek Rapid (8), at river mile 90.8, is a truly fun rapid. At low water flows of 7,000 cfs or below, the run is a right-to-left move, going right of the right horn with momentum to the left. At higher water levels, it is possible to “split the horns” and enter left of the right horn. Mind the wall on the left at the bottom. This rapid can best be scouted on river right. The pull-in for this scout is just above the rapid.
