Soap Creek Camp, at river mile 11.3 on river right, is a large camp at the top of Soap Creek Rapid. The pull-in is above the debris fan at the rapid. You may have to scope out the best place to tie up your boats for the night, as the water will drop by morning. Keep an eye out for California condors in this section of Marble Canyon. From Soap Creek Camp, the full thickness of the Hermit Shale may be appreciated by looking across the river.
