Shinumo Wash Camp, at river mile 30.6 on river right, is a large camp at the foot of the Twentynine Mile Rapid debris fan. This popular camp allows access to Silver Grotto, a favorite summer side hike requiring good scrambling skills and swimming through deep pools of water. This side canyon is susceptible to monsoon flash flooding.
