Lava Canyon Camp, at river mile 65.9 on river right, is a medium-sized camp just above Lava Canyon Rapid. There are hiking opportunities up Lava Canyon. If you aren’t camping here, tie your boats up right at the mouth of the creek and walk in the creek bed to avoid disturbing archaeological deposits in the surrounding area; otherwise, tie up at the camp a short distance upstream.
