Badger Camp, at river mile 8.1 on river right, is just across the river from Jackass Camp. This camp has a harder pull-in, as boaters will have moved left at the top of Badger Rapid to clear the center right pourover. This camp is difficult to hike to from the rim, so sharing camp with firshermen or backpackers is usually not an issue. This camp has a lot of background noise from the adjacent rapid. This camp often has driftwood along the shore for winter firewood.
